Read moreEvergreen Baptist Church celebrated Thanksgiving at the church Sunday, Nov. 20. Guest speaker was Brother Mike Satterfield. He has a tremendous passion for God’s people, and a contagious spirit of generosity that flows through every facet of his ministry. His message was enjoyed by all present. Approximately 97 attended the service including several visitors. Following the service, a meal was served in the fellowship hall.
Read moreBrenda Storey and I helped for a few hours at the Progressive Center on the rainy Saturday we had last weekend. A group of people from Navasota City Mission organize, prepare, bake and donate a Thanksgiving meal each year. Anyone can come in and get two plates of food to either eat at the center or elsewhere. I am not for sure the exact amount of plates that were made, but it was well over 700.
