There was a special memorial service April 5, at Martins Prairie Church Fellowship Hall for two sisters who died several days apart. They are Betty Ann Davis Nall and Virginia Raack. Betty was born Aug. 5, 1942, and died Feb. 21. She is the widow of Lester Nall. Virginia is the widow of Kenneth Raack. A meal followed the service. Their ashes were both buried beside their husbands in the Martins Prairie Cemetery. They are the daughters of Algie and Ida Mae Wehmeyer Davis, who are also buried in the same cemetery. The two ladies were the last of that generation. May their memories be forever blessed.

We always went to Dobbin to my Herzog grandparents for Easter dinner and a big egg hunt which our family still celebrates at the same house even though our grandparents are gone. My uncle, Darrell Herzog, lives there and carries on the tradition.

Read moreKeith Civic Club held their monthly meeting March 27, at Keith Community Center with good attendance. The covered dish meal was enjoyed by all. A variety of business was discussed and acted on. The club will have a bake sale Saturday, April 19, at the Aurora store on Highway 30. The sale will begin at 9 a.m. and will continue until it is sold out. Make plans to come buy all sort of good pies, cakes and more.
