Read moreFuneral services for Lynn Wood Lawson, 88, were held at Madisonville Funeral Home Saturday, June 29. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. He was well known in the Keith and Iola area and is a 1953 graduate of Iola High School. He was born Dec. 26, 1935 to William Andrew Buster Lawson and Corine Ira Glass Lawson, one of 12 children. He was married to Jenny Lee Manning and Linda Flynt Rucker and had multiple children. Keep his wife Linda and other family members in your prayers.
Read moreThe celebration of life for Cecilia West was perfect. Her daughter held the event at the P.A. Smith Hotel. Even though I didn’t get to visit with Cecilia very much, I know she was a very caring person. Her husband was a veteran and she truly cared for veterans. She couldn’t come to our auxiliary meetings because she and her daughter, Jennie, spent every Thursday together since her dad passed. Those Thursdays were their time. Please keep Jennie and her family in your prayers.

On June 24, he started taking an EMT course at TEEX in College Station. The course is 8 weeks long. He will graduate Aug. 29. The course includes classroom hours as well as Emergency Room and ambulance hours.
