Oct. 25 and 26 are sad days for my family because my parents passed away those days, 16 years apart. But Friday, my spirits were high because I had visitors from Puerto Rico. Both are named Jose, and they were joined by family. I met Jose (Tito) when he applied to TAMU. We lost his admissions application but eventually found it and have been friends since. The laughter, hugs, smiles and memories made my entire weekend.

There was a communitywide Fields of Faith service Oct. 23, at the Iola High School football field. Pizza was served before the service and was enjoyed by all. The guest speaker was Jon Harper from World Ministries. His message was well received, and many people came forward for a variety of reasons.
