Holidays are a fun time for our family. I thank God I’m from a large family, but many are not as fortunate, or their families live far away and rarely get to see each other. Sadly, I’ve learned over the years there are many families that can’t enjoy each other because they don’t get along. Life is way too short to hold grudges or have hate in your heart.

Read moreEvergreen Baptist Church had their Christmas party Dec. 15. There were around 45 people present. A fajita meal with all the trimmings and desserts were served. Everyone had a good time. A variety of games were played and there was a gift exchange including gift cards, toys and other items. Everyone seemed happy with their prizes.

His parents had a memorial marker placed in Evergreen Cemetery in his memory. An American flag was also placed in his memory. That was 83 years ago.
