The monthly food pantry at Iola Missionary Baptist Church in Iola, Jan. 20, was certainly a success. There were 83 people including seven new people that attended. The food distributed will feed around 242 people. Food distributed included frozen meat, fresh vegetables and canned goods. Volunteers from Evergreen Baptist and other churches assisted with setup the day before and distribution the day of. The pantry is open the third Saturday of the month for anyone in need of a helping hand.
