Keith Civic Club held their monthly meeting Thursday, Sept. 28, at Keith Community Center with a fair number of members and visitors. The covered dish meal was enjoyed by all present. The guest speaker was Alec Pointer, who spoke on behalf of Iola School Board. Everyone enjoyed his presentation that included goals for the school year. Following his presentation, a variety of business was discussed and taken care of. There will be a garage sale to benefit the Civic Club Saturday, Oct. 21, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. All sort of good items will be offered for sale at the community center. Come out and help support the club.

Read moreSince I was handicapped without a computer, my VFW meeting agenda was cut, taped, partially typed and parts were hand-written. My work looked like a kindergarten student made it. Either way, the District 17 Auxiliary President, his Jr. Vice and the State Guard all thought it was quite humorous. They complimented our Auxiliary and how it was fun to be with us. Conclusion to my story, we received a good inspection.
