I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.
There isn’t much news to share since I have not been out and about. I really appreciate all the friendly people we have in our community - it is a blessing. The Popper family and I gathered at P. Nemirs to watch the parade. It was raining Saturday, but we made it to town. The rain held off long enough for the parade to happen. Kacie braved running to the street so Kohen could see and recognize Uncle Chucky in the NHS Band. I really felt bad for those students. Poor Chucky was somewhat wet when I picked him up. It is good that I have leather seats. Kohen isn’t fond of the dark, so he was cautious of the crowd, flashing lights and so many HoHoHo (Santa). That little 23-pound human gets heavy so LaLa and Gingi had to swap occasionally holding him.
Read moreThe annual Christmas party was held at Evergreen Baptist Church Sunday, Dec. 11. A good time was enjoyed by all 53 people present. There was a gift exchange, and a meal was served. During the morning worship service, there was a Christmas program with the children in charge. The children did a wonderful job, and the program was enjoyed by all. Tony Montoya won the ugly sweater contest. Good going Tony!

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will accept donations from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the St. Stanislaus Parish Hall in Anderson. Blood is critically needed, and donors are appreciated. Please consider coming out, you could save a life or two. The KC’s will also serve a pancake breakfast that morning in the hall.

The meeting had limited news to share but I heard the first Saturday sandwich sales went well. The next monthly meeting is Jan. 9.
