Richards Community Yard Sale Oct. 14

There were three people baptized at Evergreen Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 24, Rev. Jeff Morgan. They are Alyiah Hernandez,Ashley Shepard and Spencer Quinlan. Do remember them in your prayers and all others as they begin their lives in Christ.

We certainly had a good rain Monday afternoon, Sept. 25. It rained so hard that people had to slow down on the roads. I had another inch of rain that was certainly appreciated. Just keep praying for more.

Iola football defeated Maud 44-14, Thursday, Sept. 22, at Rusk High School. Keep it up Iola. The bad thing is they had to get up the following morning for school.

All are invited to a community yard sale Saturday, Oct. 14, at 5784 FM 1486 in Richards. All sort of items will be for sale including jewelry, shoes, new items, antiques, carpet, furniture and dishes. There will also be a free items box, sliced cake, hot dogs, chips, drinks and more. Evergreen Baptist Church is planning a fall fest at their church Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. This event is for the entire family. There will be a meal, carnival games, prizes, face painting, hayrides, music and lots of tasty treats. All are invited to attend.

The membership of Iola North Zulch Eastern Star held their monthly meeting at Pyramid Masonic Lodge in North Zulch Monday, Sept. 25. A good number of members attended. The covered dish meal was enjoyed by all. During the meeting a variety of business was taken care of and decisions were made.
