One of my cousins on the Becker side of the family had a mini reunion Saturday for Aunt Edna’s children. They invited me to eat with them in Brenham. I got lost but eventually found the restaurant and had a good time. They should have told me it was the old K&G Restaurant. I knew exactly where that was. My grandma Molitor was a Gerke and one of the children married a Kenjura, thus, K&G.

Read moreDagan Alford, son of Daryl and Mandi Alford, began an 8–week EMS school at TEEX June 24. He graduated Aug. 29 and will take the National Registry exam in Bryan Sept. 4. Once he passes this test, he will be a certified EMT/EMS. Dagan said this course was the hardest thing he’s ever done. If all goes well, he will start fire school at TEEX in October. Congratulations to this sweet young man.
