Read moreRecently the Navasota Public Library (NPL) received provisional accreditation from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSL). Community Services Director Tiffany Byers explained, “The Library’s provisional accreditation will not start until the state’s fiscal year on September 1. At that time, we will be contacted to begin the process of setting up Interlibrary Loan Services and TexShare.” Byers said this includes staff training and establishing policies. The loan service will allow the library to borrow and lend materials with other accredited Texas public libraries. Patrons will have access to materials not normally available at NPL.
