The Navasota Planning and Zoning Commission ended 2023 by approving the request of Emerald Stone Homes, LLC, to replat four lots at 1404 Oakwood St. into two lots for the construction two single family homes. The vote followed a public hearing at the Dec. 14 Regular Meeting at which no comments were received against the replat.

It was a picture-perfect day for the nearly 50 volunteers participating in Grimes County’s third annual Wreaths Across America ceremony Saturday, Dec. 15. Those assembled at Navasota’s Oakland Cemetery were a part of a nationwide effort of more than 2 million volunteers and supporters who gathered “to Remember, Honor and Teach.” WAADay ceremonies were held at more than 4,000 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad.
