The local Grimes County Sons of the Confederate Veterans charter Grimes County Greys Camp #924 recently participated in multiple events around Texas. In November, members of the camp marched in the 100th anniversary Veterans Day parade in Waco. In December, the camp held their annual Christmas Party at the Camp Commander’s residence then marched in the MontgomeryChristmas Parade with the local chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy camp Thomas Jefferson Stubs who planned and organized the parade float.
