Saturday was not a good day. I passed out in the back of my car. Thankfully, I had friends nearby that took care of me. The ambulance was called and it all turned out okay. I was fussed at for lack of water intake, so I am steadily filling that huge Stanley cup!

The Bluebonnet Zone of the LWML will be meeting at Salem Lutheran Church for their fall rally Sunday, Sept. 28. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. with the program starting at 2 p.m. The day will begin with Bible study then two special speakers. A meal will be served afterwards.

The Rev. John Claeys filled the pulpit at Evergreen Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 14. He led the Sunday School hour and the morning worship service. He holds degrees from the University of Northern Iowa and is the author of several books.

The annual Grimes County 4-H pecan sale continues into October. Orders will be delivered before Thanksgiving, just in time to make pecan pies for the holidays. My grandsons, Luke and Colton Waitz are selling them through their 4-H club.
