The day will start out with Sunday school from 9-10 a.m. followed by the worship service from 10-11 a.m. The carnival will begin at 11:30 a.m. Join this parish for brisket plates and carnival games. A free will offering will be taken up for repairs on the parsonage roof. As an added plus, there will also be one of the LCC Caredogs visiting. This dog is part of the group of dogs that were sent to Uvalde to provide comfort. Be sure and stop by to support this parish and have fun while you are at it. The 53rd annual Szymczak-Shimshack family reunion was held Sunday, Sept. 11, at the St. Stanislaus Parish Hall in Anderson. A fried chicken dinner with all the sides and desserts was served. After dinner a short meeting was held followed by bingo and a live auction to help cover expenses for next year’s reunion. Sadly, family reunions are becoming a thing of the past. So many young people just don’t seem to have time for them. Little do they know how important these reunions really are. Plantersville Town Hall is hosting a 52-gun raffle. All proceeds benefit Plantersville Town Hall, which is a 501-C3 charitable organization. Plantersville Town Hall supports the Plantersville and surrounding communities with student scholarships, maintains the historic Plantersville Town Hall building, barbershop, hosts various civic events and maintains the community playground. Tickets are $100 each and went on sale Sept. 5 and only 500 tickets will be sold. Every ticket drawn will be put back in the drum for more chances to win. Each ticket sold has 52 chances to win. Drawings will begin the first Tuesday of the month following the last ticket being sold. Members of this organization will be selling tickets at Town Hall Thursday, Sept. 15 from 3 – 7 p.m.
