MADISONVILLE – The Navasota Freshman football team defeated the Madisonville junior varsity football team 27-20, on the road Thursday, Sept. 9.

Quarterback Javyn Jessie connected with Cameron Ross for one score. Artavian Rutherford rushed for two scores and Zy’Merick Taylor returned a kickoff 82 yards for a touchdown. Salvador Paz kicked three extra-points.

Navasota improves to 3-0 and plays at Huffman Thursday, Sept. 16, at 5 p.m.
