Navasota Lil’Diggers finish season

The Navasota Lil’ Diggers inaugural season concluded Nov. 9. And two champions were crowned.

During the first season the league had enough players for two divisions consisting of a second to fourth grade division and a fifth and sixth grade division.

Winner from the second to fourth grade division was team Pink (4-2). Team members included Madison Quezada, Ava Flores, Esme’ Spinks, Madison Hunter, Natalie Rylands and coach Leslee Soto. Finishing second in the division was team Blue (2-4). Team members are Emelia Alvarado, Evalynn Davolt, Janiyah Lee, Addison Dominguez, Brianna Bender, Zyriah Anderson and coach Kylie Maxson.

Finishing first in the fifth and sixth-grade division was team Purple (5-1). Team members are Ellie Coleman, Piper Coleman, Jaedyn Michael, Leeyah Abercrumbia, Emma Musick, Jocelyn Santoy, Ashley Santos and coach Seltzer. Coming in second place is team Orange (3-3). Team members include Shelby Sechelski, Layla Sanchez, Mallory Heathcott, Sophia Trejo, Allison Alvarado, Laticia Fernandes and coach Emily Ladd.

Third and fourth place finishers were team Green (2-4) and Red (1-5).

Navasota Lil’ Diggers is planning a spring season and information will be sent home with first through sixth-grade students. More information can be found on the Navasota Independent School District website. Once on the website click athletics department and choose volleyball.
