FRANKIE LEE VAN “PANCHO”
1936 – 2019
Frankie Lee Van “Pancho,” 83, is celebrating his new life with our Lord and Savior. He was born January 24, 1936, in Edinburg, Texas.
He was a well-known fixture in the Rio Grande Valley for being a great farmer and manager. He was always educational and kind to his workers, and even let friends of his children work in the summer to make some spending money. He was up early always, and napped daily in the noonday. Then he was back to work till it all got done. Sometimes long in the evening even passed dark.
He was a rancher, and cowboy. He loved to be around family, loved to hunt, and fish. He enjoyed trips to Colorado and New Mexico to hunt, and always talked about it. He loved the Port O’Conner area of Texas too.
He is preceded in death by his father Frank Van, mother Theora Van, and his wife Bobbie Jo Van.
He survived by his brother Jimmy Van and his two sons Ricky Van and Kendall Van. He had three step children Pam Stryker, Becky Haynes, Don Haynes.
He was blessed with 6 grandchildren Lindsey, Mark, Catherine, Kelsey, and Kody. He had 9 great grandchildren.
