A Port Arthur man lost his life in a collision Saturday, Dec. 21, just outside of Navasota.
A Port Arthur man lost his life in a collision Saturday, Dec. 21, just outside of Navasota.
According to Department of Public Safety reports, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Warren Samuel, 24, was traveling eastbound on Texas State Highway 2, 7-miles south of the Navasota city limits.
Samuel, who was driving a 2016 Ford Fusion, reportedly ran a stop at the intersection of Texas State Highway 6 and collided with a 2006 Mercedes-Benz driven by Omar Kashu, 24, of Richardson.
Samuel, who was an employee of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Luther Unit in Grimes County was pronounced deceased on scene. Kashu was transported to the hospital and his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening.
