Critical Care Notice renewals due

It’s time to renew and update your Critical Care Notice for 2019 with Mid-South Synergy, if you depend on electrical power medical equipment. Mid-South Synergy requires you to do it annually.

•Thank a farmer! How many of you knew that March 14 is National Ag Day? National Ag Day coincides with the beginning of corn, cotton, soybean and sorghum season. My grandfather was a farmer. He grew all of our food and raised of all our meat.

•St Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in Magnolia on FM 149 and FM 1488 is having an Outreach Program beginning at noon Saturday, March 30. There will be plenty for everyone to enjoy and education on services available to the community. MD Anderson will be in attendance to answer questions about cancer. March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness. Thanks in advance.

•The 42nd Plantersville-Stoneham VFD Bazaar and BBQ will be held April

7. A barbecue dinner will be served at 11 a.m. Tickets for raffles are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20.

•May 4 is the election for mayor and five aldermen for the city of Plantersville. Good luck to all candidates.

•St Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in Magnolia is inviting all choirs, soloists, praise dancers and quartets to be a part of the gospel play, The Old Ship of Zion. Rehearsal for the play is at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at the church. If you can’t make it to rehearsal, you can still be in the play at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 8.
