Friends of Grimes County donated $2,000 each to the Grimes Child Victims Advocates and to Navasota Police Department for departmental canine training. The GC Child Victims Advocates assists those who have been abused until a better environment can be found. NPD is using the donation for canine training that was not in the budget.

He is an experienced officer having served in law enforcement for 18 years and 7 months. Drake has been with Navasota Police Department for a year and 3 months and previously worked for College Station Police Department and the Brazos County Constables Office. He is also NPD’s K9 officer. Drake was pinned by Navasota Police Chief Mike Mize.
