Pierce Goodwin is leaving the nest to continue his education and athletic career at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. The Anderson–Shiro Owl signed his National Letter of Intent May 24 to play football for the Millsap College Rangers. Owl head coach Brad Hodges said Goodwin is great athletically, academically and has great character.

Navasota senior goalie Juan Vargas will continue deflecting shot attempts at the next level. Vargas signed his National Letter of Intent May 21 to continue his academic and soccer career at McPherson College in Kansas. Vargas helped lead Navasota to the UIL 4A State Semifinals. He was selected to the all-region team and represented the Rattlers at the TASCO All Star Game. He is the son of Juan and Eloisa Vargas.
