I know this was a Washington and Burleson County game played in College Station, but it was nerve-wracking for sure. Burton has a new football stadium but for some reason could not play there, so the game was at Brazos Christian Academy. It was an awesome game with Somerville winning, 42-41, in overtime. It was a good feeling to see those boys and coaches celebrating. This is the first time since 2006 that they beat Burton.

Grimes County finally joined many other counties in the Brazos Valley implementing a burn ban. We have not had much rain for several weeks and not much chance of rain for a while. Pray for a good rain.
