Read moreArea residents were sorry to learn of the death of Katie Jane “Janie” Norman who passed away Jan. 13. She was born Dec. 23, 1949, to J.P. and Pearl Maxwell Norman. She grew up in the Iola area and graduated from Iola High School. For many years she lived in Houston and later in Friendswood. She is survived by her brothers Jerry Norman and his wife Bobbie, Joe P. Norman and his wife Patty, John M. Norman, sister–in–law Billie Norman and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
