Lady Bulldogs prepare to attack playoffs

The Iola Lady Bulldogs finished runners-up in District 22-2A, with a season record of 37-4, 6-2, exemplifying great resilience and dedication.
On Tuesday, Oct. 25, Iola went head-to-head with the top 1A team in the state, hosting the Fayetteville Lady Lions. Iola pushed past Fayetteville 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-23). “They are a good team,” stated Iola Head Volleyball Coach Jamie Mcdougald. “It will be a great experience for them going into the playoffs.”
The Lady Bulldogs played their bi-district playoff game in Buffalo, Tuesday, Nov. 1, against Kerens, fourth place finishers in District 21-2A (results were not available at press time). The winner advances to the area round where they will meet the winner of Lovelady, District 23-2A champions and Evadale, fourth place in District 24-2A with a date and time TBD.
