Mil was born on June 1, 1979, the eldest son of Emilio Munoz, Jr. and Diana Lira Munoz. He was a 1997 graduate of Navasota High School. Mil was a huge supporter and fan of the Navasota Rattlers. Everything that Mil chose to do, from his jobs to his volunteer work, he was surrounded by people. After receiving his certification as a Cosmetologist, he began his career at Hair Plus and ended at Avenue B Salon. As the Manager of The Western Steakhouse and Dancehall, Mil spent his nights taking care of anyone who walked in the door. He also enjoyed slinging beer at the Texas Renaissance Festival for many years. Mil loved the Aggies and enjoyed bartending in the Suites during the Fighting Texas Aggie Football games, especially when they won. He loved serving on the Grimes County Fair Committees, but his favorite was volunteering on the GateKeeper Committee with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Mil was the most loyal, honest, hardworking, always ready for a good time, especially a Sunday Fun Day, kind of guy. His love and devotion for the people he loved was unmatched. His laughter and his free spirit were contagious. There are so many people that he loved and that loved him, and we all knew that we had a friend for life. Although he was so fun-loving and such a great friend to many, his priority was his family. He did whatever it took to protect, provide, and to make them each feel loved. Mile and his mom had a special bond, and he was fine with being a “Mama’s Boy.” He loved and honored her with his whole heart.
Mil is survived by his mother, Diana Munoz; sister, Amanda Vasquez and husband, Omar; sister, Becky Munoz; and brother, Eli Munoz and wife, Lucy. He was known as “Uncle Mil” to his nieces and nephews, Wacey Abke and wife, Cory, Calen Ramos and wife, Carina, Gabiee Munoz, Armanie Munoz, Grayson Munoz, Aubrie Munoz and a great uncle to Dominic Ramos and Karter Moore. Mil was also survived by his grandmother, Frances Munoz and numerous aunts and uncles.
