Anderson VFD Cook-Off Sept. 30 - Oct. 1

ANDERSON – Anderson Volunteer Fire Department is hosting IBCA Championship BBQ Cook-Off Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, at the Grimes County Expo Center, 5220 FM 3455 in Navasota. A guaranteed payout for the three-meat cookoff is $6,000. Top-10 finishers will receive cash prizes. Entry for three meats is $200. There will also be a bean division and an open division (no desserts). Entry for each is $25.

Live music will be provided Friday night by the Risky Liver Band. Along with live music, cookers will have the opportunity to compete in a steak shoot out. Entry for the steak shoot out is $50.
