Ona Grace LaSalle, 85, of Iola, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, in College Station, Texas.

Born on September 8, 1939, Ona was the daughter of Mitchell and Mildred LaSalle. She lived her entire life in Iola, Texas — a community she loved deeply and never wished to leave. She was a lifelong member of Iola Missionary Baptist Church, where she found strength, purpose, and fellowship. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was known for her quiet devotion, kindness, and service to others through the church.

Ona was the cherished mother of Justin Mahana and proud grandmother to Alexander and Michael, who were her greatest joys. She is survived by her loving siblings, Donald and Georgia Ray LaSalle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell and Mildred LaSalle, as well as her siblings Henry and Nancy LaSalle, whose memories she carried with her always.

Known for her gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and generous heart, Ona touched many lives with her warmth and humility. She offered comfort, wisdom, and love freely — and her legacy of grace and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation was held Friday, June 6, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of her Celebration of Life service at 11:30 a.m., both at Iola Missionary Baptist Church. Interment followed at Zion Cemetery. Brother Tim Owens, Pastor, will officiate. Services were in the care of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and church community.
