Wine Walk a groovy success

Organizers of Navasota’s annual Groovy Grapes Wine Walk are calling the event a success, with the visitor count exceeding all prior years.

Executive Director Johnny McNally of the Navasota Grimes County Chamber of Commerce says 19 area establishments and nine wineries participated. The more than 260 ticket holders were treated to wine samples from each winery using their souvenir wine glasses, while enjoying appetizers at each stop along the way.

McNally added that the Wine Walk highlights the diversity of what’s available in downtown Navasota. Music for the afternoon was provided by the Country Blues Band and singer Keith Michael Kallina.
