Evergreen Fall Festival Oct. 25

Area residents were sorry to learn of the death of Donald Gaylor who passed away in his home Sept. 30, after being in the hospital. He was a longtime resident and will certainly be missed. No services are pending, but a memorial service will be held later. Do remember his wife Sue and other family members in your prayers.

There were several people baptized at Evergreen Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 8, at the close of the morning worship service by Rev. Jeff Morgan. Those baptized areAdam Griffin, Victor Rangel, John Mark England, A.J. Pointer, Mary Womack, Zoey Condon and Jillian Bankston. Emma Reynolds also became a member. Around 156 people attended the service including many family members of those who were baptized.

Iola football lost on the road to Granger Friday, Oct. 6, by a score of 23-14.

Evergreen Fall Festival at Evergreen Baptist Church is Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 6:308 p.m. This fun event is for the entire family. There will be food, carnival games, prizes, face painting, hayrides and lots of tasty treats. Everyone is invited to attend. Hope to see you there.

The annual meeting of Concord Cemetery Association is Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. A variety of business will be taken care of. Anyone with an interest in Concord Cemetery are invited to attend.

Keith Civic Club will host a garage sale at the Keith Community Center Saturday, Oct. 21, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be a variety of good items available. Money raised will help support Keith Civic Club. Please come out and support.

Iola North Zulch Order of the Eastern Star No. 458 will have their meeting at Pyramid Masonic Lodge in North Zulch Oct. 23. The meeting will begin with a covered dish meal at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by their business meeting.All members of the Star are invited to attend.
