High school juniors and seniors have the chance to go on a trip of a lifetime to the Government-in-Action Youth Tour, June 11-20 this year. Navasota Animal Shelter needs help with supplies. Items needed include dog and cat food, treats, cat litter, disposable gloves, blankets, etc. Please contact the animal shelter if you would like to help.
The annual MLK Parade in Navasota is Jan. 14, at 10 a.m. Anyone wanting to participate in the parade may do so. Parade lineup begins on Brosig Avenue at 9 a.m. The parade will travel west on Washington Avenue. Following the parade there will be a memorial ceremony at Friendship Baptist Church, 1111 S. LaSalle Street in Navasota.
