Remember those we lost in 2022
Well folks, 2022 is finally over. Do hope it has been a good year for you and your loved ones. Hope your Christmas was wonderful for you, your family, friends and loved ones. Good to have everyone safe and secure. May God bless all of you.
For the past several years I have listed the names of everyone in the Keith area who have passed away throughout the year. Some died here and others passed in other places but were buried here. If I accidentally omit any names, please forgive me. The list includes Mary Jane Robinson, Lois Coneley, Vicki Crenshaw Crawford, Clifford Perkins, Mablean Johns Tennell, Bernard Chesnutt, Margie Crenshaw Morrell, Charlotte Carol Cee Cee Candler, Doris Mae Bryant Shiflett, Gordon Roscoe Coneley, Ruby Ruth Lavender Stuckey, Harry Davis, Millard Wiley 3rd, Dorothy Dottie Beene. May their memories be forever blessed and remembered.
Several area churches decorated with poinsettias for the Christmas season. Evergreen Baptist Church placed poinsettias in memory of deceased loved ones including Tyler Compian, R.T. and Elwyn Trant, James and John Sanford, Clyde and Ruby Vaughn Maxwell, Homer and Lillie Sollock Vaughn, Kimberly Carson, Wynette Timmermann and Edelle Ridge. May their memories be forever blessed.
Evergreen Baptist Church held a candlelight service Dec. 24, and a Christmas morning service. Both were well attended. Hope everyone enjoyed them. God bless everyone that attended.
We had several really cold days but hopefully the cold spell is over for the time being. At least there wasn’t any snow or ice like some parts of the country had. That is certainly fine with me.
Fundraising for a new roof on the Keith Community Center is coming along well. If you wish to donate to the fund, please mail to Keith Civic Club, P.O. Box 71, Iola TX. 77861. Thanks for your efforts and may God bless you.
Happy birthday this week to the following: Jan. 1 – Katherine Carson, Danny Langford; Jan. 4 – Rev. Faron Thebeau; Jan. 7 – Rose Moore, Jonathan Compian, Kathy Howell; Do hope your special day was a happy one.
Happy anniversary to Tony and Tammy Williams Montoya, married Jan. 1, 2022. Join me in wishing them many more years of happiness together.
There was a mistake in the Dec. 28 Keith News. I reported that Charlie Wendt is the pastor of Zion Methodist Church and he officiated the wedding of his granddaughter. He is a member of Zion Methodist Church not the pastor.
