Rattlers to compete in Madisonville Classic

The Rattler boys’ basketball teams return to action in full force following the Thanksgiving break. Navasota’s varsity team will compete at the Madisonville Classic Nov. 30Dec. 2, while the junior varsity will compete at the Lexington tournament.

Navasota varsity begins pool play Nov. 30, and will compete in pool B with Rudder, Livingston and Cypress Christian. Their first game is at 10 a.m. against Cypress Christian in the old high school gym. At 1 p.m. the Rattlers will tip-off against Livingston in the competition gym.

The Rattlers wrap up pool play Dec. 1, against rudder at 3 p.m. in the competition gym. Games Saturday are dependent on pool play results. The fourth-place teams from each pool play at 9 a.m. followed by the third-place finishers at 10:30 a.m., second place at noon and the championship game at 1:30 p.m.

Junior Varsity

Navasota JV begins tournament play Nov. 30, at 4 p.m. against Sealy. The winner plays the Lutheran High School vs Hempstead winner Dec. 1, at 5:20 p.m. and the losers play at 2:40 p.m.

The consolation final is set for Dec. 2, at 10:40 a.m. with the championship game scheduled for 2:40 p.m.
