Grimes County Little Dribblers teams heading to Nationals

Several area Grimes County teams have punched their ticket to the Little Dribbler National tournament with a successful weekend of basketball.

Three teams from Anderson - the junior girls, senior girls and major boys - are all heading to the national tournament in Levelland.

Iola will also send a pair of teams – the junior and major girls – to compete in the national tournament.

Iola youth athletics will host a barbecue dinner and silent auction from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, at the Iola baseball field to raise funds to send their teams to nationals. Barbecue will be sponsored by Mallett Brothers and a chopped beef sandwich, chips, drink, chocolate chip cookie will be sold for $10 a plate.
