Randy Allen Nicholson, 65, of Spring, Texas, died January 31, 2022, at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in Houston, Texas, of respiratory failure after a brief but courageous battle with COVID-19.
His sudden and tragic death is felt immensely by his family and friends who loved him deeply and will miss his kindness, generosity, and willingness to always have fun.
Randy was born on February 27,1954 to Charles Donis Nicholson and Shirlie Causey Chadwick in Houston, Texas. He is the oldest of three children. He graduated from Klein High School in 1972, and as a senior was known for having many friends and was voted by his peers onto the homecoming court, a testament to his popularity and how much people enjoyed being in his presence.
Randy took courses at San Jacinto Community College in drafting, a profession used in the oil and gas industry before computers. He was skilled at drawing technical schematics and had impeccable penmanship. He led a prosperous and exciting career as a project manager for offshore drilling companies, which allowed him to travel to exciting and exotic places across the world, such as Scotland, Brazil, Korea, Singapore, Australia, Alaska, and many more. Randy retired two years ago and loved spending his time with friends and family, eating out, and travelling.
He often took his wife and children on his adventures, and the loss of all the life plans they had with him is greater than words can express.
