MANUEL LARA 1951 – 2022
Manuel Lara, 71, of Navasota, died Saturday evening, October 8, 2022, at Houston Methodist Hospital - Medical Center.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Hunter Lara officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cory Lara, Justin Lara, Anthony Lara, B.J. Lara, Charlie Lara, Haden O'Brien and Rylie McKenney. Named as honorary pallbearers are Landon Lara, Kannon Lara, Camry Lara, Coy Alexander, Charlie Roman Lara, Marion Lara, James Lara and Holden Hammer.
Manuel was born January 20, 1951 in Piedmont to Charlie and Ramona Rodriguez Lara. He attended Navasota schools and worked for many years as a farm hand. He was a true outdoors man. Manuel loved to fish and to ride his 4 wheelers. He enjoyed giving his nieces and nephews rides. Manuel as loved his 4X4 truck.
Manuel was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Ruth Lara.
Survivors include his brothers, Phillip Lara of Minnesota, Santos Lara of Wellborn, Joe Lara of Plantersville, Tony Lara, Nicholas Lara, both of Millican and Louis Lara of Richards; sisters, Anita Lara, Angie Lara and Dora Lara all of Millican, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other relatives and a great number of friends.
