1928 - 2022
Floyd Oliver Siptak, 93, of Navasota, died Thursday evening, February 10, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2022, at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery in William Penn.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Kroll, Chad Kettler, David Luckemeyer, Keith Welch, Heath Clark and Chirst Jarvis
Floyd was born March 14, 1928 in Welcome, Texas to Eddie L. and Adela Gueldner Siptak. He was baptized April 14, 1928 at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Welcome and confirmed December 5, 1943 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine, Texas. It was on October 11, 1953 that he married Nina Jean Luckemeyer at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in William Penn. Floyd had a long and rewarding career with TXDot retiring in 1990 after 35 years of service as a road construction supervisor. He joined the Army National Guard of Texas in 1948 and was honorably discharged with the ranking of Sgt. First Class, Squad Leader in 1957. A resident of Navasota since 1966, Floyd and Nina were active members at Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nina, daughter Brenda Clark and sister Bobbie Faye Kroll.
Survivors include his daughter Pam Kniffin and husband Daniel; son-in-law John Clark; grandchildren Heath and Haley Clark, Abbey Kniffin and Sydney Schlueter and husband John, along with a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend thanks to Allumine Hospice staff, Jasmin, Starr and Brenda and his care giver, Stephanie.
In lieu of usual remembrances, the family has suggested memorials in Floyd’s name to a favorite charity.
