Mr. Clarence Finke, 67, of Navasota, passed away Friday, August 2, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in College Station. Visitation with the family was held Monday, August 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, at Salem Lutheran Church in White Hall with the Rev. H.L. Fleischauer officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Clarence was born in Navasota on July 12, 1952 to Albin and Clara (Eickenhorst) Finke. He graduated high school and then attended college at Sam Houston State Universary obtaining a degree in Agriculture/ Business. Clarence worked for the US Postal Service as a carrier for 12 years until his retirement. He was a quiet, unassuming man, who in his younger years and prior to health issues, enjoyed horses and the outdoors. In recent years, however, Clarence could be found at the Wrangler Steakhouse (now Las Fuentes) at least twice a week, sitting quietly at his usual table enjoying a chicken fried steak platter.

He is survived by his father, Albin Finke and wife Debra; sister and brother-in-law Lisa and Russell Lahrmann; nephew Luke Lahrmann; stepbrother Will White and his family; stepsister D. J. Haferkamp and her family; Stepsister Kim Smith and her family; aunt Rosa Finke and numerous extended family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Luke Lahrmann, Will White, David Boenker, Larry Finke, Art Courville and Curtis Kolojaco.

Clarence was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother Clara E. Finke and several aunts and uncles.
