BILL EUGENE NICHOLS

Bill Eugene Nichols, 84, of Navasota, earned his final set of wings on June 17, 2021. He was born in Seminole, Oklahoma and later moved to Texas.

Bill’s true love in life was flying. He learned to fly in 1955 and maintained a current private pilot’s certificate until his death.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Francis Christopher; father, Calvin Eugene Nichols; and his favorite dog, T Boy (he loved him like a son).

Bill is survived by his three siblings, Chuck Nichols (Tracy), Calene Norris and Greta Miers (Mike); five children (six counting T-Boy) Bill Nichols and wife, LeeAnn, Brad Nichols and wife Gina, Brent Nichols and wife Pam, Barry Nichols and wife Sharon and Christy Mills and husband Doug; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Bill requested cremation with his ashes to be spread under a Texas Oak Tree. A memorial service will be held at Union Grove Baptist church in Whitehall, Texas on Saturday July 3 at 10:00 a.m. The family would especially like to thank, the pastor, Faber McMullin, and the staff of Union Grove Baptist Church.
