The Anderson-Shiro Education Foundation Prize Patrol – with noisemakers in hand - shook the walls as they whooped and hollered in excitement through the hallway of ASCISD campuses distributing over $25,000 in grants.

ASCISD Education Foundation members patrolled campuses Friday, April 22, to teachers who applied for grants to help enrich students in the classroom. Grant readers reviewed the grants and awarded grants to teachers that included everything from a green screen, camera equipment for yearbook students to biotechnology lab equipment.

Anderson-Shiro administration said, “We are very proud of these faculty members for their innovative ideas and high expectations for their students. We are also incredibly grateful to the Education Foundation for sharing our vision and supporting the opportunity to enrich students’ learning experiences.”

The mission of the Anderson-Shiro Education Foundation is to provide opportunities for excellence, promote innovation in teaching, inspire learning, and partner with the community to enhance the quality of education for all students.
