Navasota's Reds, Wheats & Blues Festival Returns This Saturday

Downtown Navasota celebrates its blues heritage this Saturday, November 12, at its upcoming “Reds, Wheats & Blues” Festival. This year's Festival runs from 2 to 6 p.m. and takes place all along the downtown area in Navasota, with an afternoon of wine, craft beers and blues music.
Check-in for the event is at the Navasota Visitor’s Center located at the corner of Washington and Farquhar Streets. Attendees receive a complimentary commemorative sampling glass and an event map to guide them to the various wineries and breweries located within the downtown stores. Finger foods will also be at each stop and local food vendors will be on hand to add to the festivities.
Bluesy music for the event will be provided by Tubie and the Touchtones, Neil and the Real Deal, the Bad 455 Band and The Blues Brothers. Local artists will have their works on display, with new artists from the Horlock House among them.
The event is underwritten by title sponsor Sterling Auto Group of Navasota with additional funding from the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley and TDA Go Texan Program.
Pre-sale tickets are $20 and include participation at all festival activities. Tickets may be purchased online through the Chamber of Commerce website (navasotagrimeschamber.com) or may be purchased the day of the event for $25 starting at 1:30 p.m.
