Molina flees from deputies
PLANTERSVILLE – A 35-year old Plantersville man, Agustin Molina, led officers on a brief vehicle and foot pursuit Sunday, May 9.
Accord ing to a press release issued by Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Michael Lys was patrolling County Road 302 near Durango Ranch Road. Lys observed a white Crown Victoria speeding and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
The suspect, Molina, failed to pull over and a pursuit began. Lys pursued the vehicle down CR 302 to Farm-to-Market Road 1774 and onto Loretta Lane where the suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Lys captured the suspect following the brief foot pursuit.
Molina’s vehicle was searched and two bags containing approximately 60 grams of suspected methamphetamine was recovered.
Molina was booked into the Grimes County Jail charged with possession of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony; evading arrest or detention in a vehicle, a third-degree felony; and evading arrest or detention on foot, a Class A misdemeanor.
As of Tuesday, May 11, Molina remained incarcerated in the Grimes County Jail on bonds totaling $40,000.
