Felon arrested in Sauls Street shooting
A Navasota man was arrested on four felony charges after being accused of a shooting on Sauls Street in Navasota.
Navasota Police Officers responded to the 1200 block of Sauls Street for a report of shots fired at approximately 5:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.
Officers located several victims who stated a male suspect shot at them in the residence then fled the scene. Navasota Investigators arrived and identified Franqueis Powell, 33, of Navasota, as the suspect.
Powell was located and detained. At the conclusion of the interview, several arrest warrants were issued, and Powell was booked into Grimes County Jail charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a 2nd Degree Felony, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm, a 3rd Degree Felony.
Powell remains in jail on a $6,150 bond.
