City manager field narrows to three
The Navasota City Council met in a Special Meeting Monday, Nov. 15, to continue the search for a new city manager. Council members convened in Executive Session as permitted by Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code to discuss the appointment, employment, evaluation and duties of a new city manager, including reviewing resumes and videos submitted by the applicants.
The meeting adjourned with no action taken, however, Mayor Bert Miller told The Examiner that council members viewed six applicant videos and reviewed resumes.
Miller said, “We’re now down to three finalists. They will be contacted to set up in-person interviews for Nov. 29-30.”
Miller confirmed that the target hire date is Jan. 1, 2022 but noted that “many things could affect that.”
