Brenham men face multiple charges
Two Brenham men were arrested Aug. 28 in Navasota after a probable cause search uncovered multiple types of drugs and firearms.
Around 10:50 a.m., Aug. 28, a Navasota Police Officer stopped a vehicle at the 1400 block of East Washington Avenue. The officer reportedly smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
A probable cause search was executed. Officers seized THC, more than 400 grams of Promethazine with Codeine, Methamphetamine, Xanax and three firearms. The driver was identified as Jose Jones, 26, of Brenham. His passenger was 20–year–old Cado Traylor, also of Brenham.
Jones was arrested and charged with Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2, greater than 400 grams; Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2; Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 3; Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 (1–4 grams); Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG ¾ (less than 28 grams); Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 3 (less than 28 grams); and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
Traylor was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 (1–4 grams) and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
Both individuals were transported to the Grimes County Jail. Traylor had additional warrants in Washington County for child endangerment/abandonment and Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm. He is being held on bonds totaling $135,000.
Jones is being held on bonds totaling $81,500.
