Good manners shown by JH students
Letter to the Editor:
We hear so much about the bad behavior of our young people that I want to tell you about an experience that was just the opposite.
Recently, I was waiting for my grandson outside the cafeteria at Navasota Junior High. As I was getting out of my car very slowly due to extremely arthritic hips and knees, several junior high boys were headed to their locker room. Two of the young men, at different times, stopped to say, “Ma’am, do you need some help?” I thanked them and said I was just slow. They had passed on by when I got out and stood up and another young man looked over at me, smiled and gave me a thumbs up! It made my heart happy to experience such polite and caring behavior.
I wish that I would have gotten the students’ names so that I could thank them by name. Kudos to the young men and to the parents for instilling these fine qualities in them.

Angel lost
When I picked up the paper Wednesday, I saw where our sweet girl Lizzy had passed away. The angels had carried her to Heaven. Our son, Perry, passed away with cancer in 1972. He had already become a Christ follower.
Let your children know where you stand with the Lord Jesus Christ for this will be your lasting legacy.
