Grimes County 4-H is having a one-day camp July 8, at the Grimes County Extension office, 205 Veterans Memorial Drive in Navasota from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Camp is for ages 5-18 and is $10 per child. The City of Navasota and Navasota Police Department are seeking volunteers to assist during a renovation day at the shelter July 22, at 8 a.m.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Brazos Valley are hosting “Why Mentor” June 22, from 6:30-9 p.m. at Yesterday’s Bar & Grill. The first 20 people to arrive and provide an email will receive a complimentary drink. The organization is in need of Big Brothers and Big Sisters. This event allows the community to discover the impact that the mentors have on youth of the Brazos Valley.
