As with most congressional wives, Gina is accomplished in her own right and has her own perspective of life “inside the beltway.” Pecos born and Panhandle raised, Flores attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1979 with a degree in teaching. She taught in both public and Christian schools for 18 years.
