Civic Club meeting Sept. 24

The monthly meeting of the Keith Civic Club will be held at the Keith Community Center Thursday, Sept. 24. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a covered dish meal and their monthly business meeting will follow. Guest speaker will be Alec Pointer who will speak on the upcoming election in November. All members are expected, and visitors are welcome. Hope to see you there.

NPD promotes two officers

Navasota Police Chief Shawn Myatt announced Thursday, Sept. 17 that two Navasota Police Officers received promotions. Travis Mullins was promoted from Patrol to the Criminal Investigations Division and Troy Green promoted from Patrol to Corporal.

U.S. Constitution, 233 years old and holding

The Constitution of the United States will turn 233 years old Sept. 17, 2020. Its signing is recognized by presidential proclamation each year, and Sept. 17-23, 2020, is designated as Constitution Week.
