Men making Moves distributed over 1,000 backpacks at their annual backpack and supply giveaway Aug. 9. In addition to backpacks, socks, underwear, toiletry items and more were provided. This year nearly 200 pair of shoes were also given away along with jeans, capri pants, short sets and other clothing.

He has exhausted all treatment options and was confined to the house due to his mobility. His neighbor, Doug Powell, contacted Navasota Evening Lions Club to see if they can assist. Navasota Masonic Lodge #299 also assisted with the planning and construction.
