Morgan Moriarty received a $10,000 Fort Worth Stock Show scholarship. Jesse Butler, Haylee Burzynski and Emberly Hulsman (not pictured) received their Lone Star Degrees. On July 16, Grimes County Commissioners approved a Resolution of Intent to establish the Grimes County Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Program. PACE was established by the 83rd Texas Legislature in 2013 and offers property owners “a cost-effective means of making energy and water efficiency improvements” in their commercial, industrial or multi-family properties and “repay the financing through a voluntary contractual assessment placed on their property.” Without a Resolution, Grimes County businesses cannot participate.
